On ZAP Endurance is incredibly excited to announce the addition of Appalachian State University graduate Tristin Van Ord to its roster. Van Ord is the first addition for the ZAP pro team in almost two years. Van Ord, a multiple time Sun Belt Conference Champion as a collegian, graduated from Appalachian State in 2017 and recently qualified for her first Olympic Marathon Trials, running 2:40.02 in her debut marathon at the Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota.
Van Ord is currently an assistant coach with her alma mater while she begins her preparations for the 2020 Olympic Trials to be run in Atlanta on 2/29/2020. Van Ord joins 8 other On ZAP athletes with current qualifying marks for the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials.
“Tristin has nothing but upside,” said ZAP Head Coach Pete Rea. “She left the college ranks in 2017 hungry with lots of room for growth. We look forward to watching her progress through the 2020 Olympic Trials and beyond.”
