On ZAP Endurance veteran Joe Stilin will be racing his final marathon before the Olympic Trials in February this weekend at the Berlin Marathon. He’ll be joined by ZAP training partner Pardon Ndhlovu who is chasing his 2nd Olympic berth for his native Zimbabwe. Stilin ran his debut marathon in December of 2018 where he placed 4th overall at the US Marathon Championships in 2:13:19. His mark was fast enough to qualify him for his first US Olympic Trials which will be held February 29th, 2020 in Atlanta.
The Berlin Marathon is touted as the world’s fastest marathon, having been host to numerous world records on the men’s side, including the current world record set last year by Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge in 2:01:39. The race will start Sunday morning at 9:15am local time, 3:15am eastern time. The race will be shown live on NBC Sports Gold (subscription required), and live results from last year were here so we would expect the same again this year. And as always, follow us on Twitter for updates as soon as we get them.
