Next weekend on April 29th Dan will compete in the most iconic track meet in the country, the Penn Relays. He will be part of the Benjamin Franklin Men’s Mile that promises to be exceptional. Dan is part of a field that is comprised exclusively of sub-4 minute milers and features some of the world’s best athletes.
You can take a look at the full press release on the event here to get a breakdown of the field and bio’s on each of the competitors. While weather and tactics always play a role at Penn, Dan is eager for the opportunity to compete against some of the best milers in the world.
Dan’s race will take place at 2:46pm on Saturday afternoon. You can find the full schedule along with live results here. The race will be shown live on Flotrack (subscription required.)
In other action next weekend, Ryan will also be racing a Mile at the University of Virginia High Performance Meet. He will race Sunday, April 30th. The final schedule for the meet hasn’t been released yet, but last year the men’s mile was run at 7:50pm so it’s likely to be similar. You can find the final schedule and live results here once they’re available.
Ryan will be using the mile as a tune-up before Sound Running’s Track Fest the following weekend where he’ll contest the 10,000m looking to improve upon his 28:16 personal best set earlier this year. Dan and Tristin will also be competing at Track Fest. Tristin will be racing the 10,000m and Dan will be competing at 5,000m.
