Meet New ZAP Athletes Matt McClintock and Brandon Doughty

Matt McClintock Purdue

Reebok Zap Fitness is excited to announce the addition of Matt McClintock and Brandon Doughty to the resident elite athlete team!
Matt McClintock, a native of Athens, Maine comes to Zap from Purdue University where he was a force to be reckoned with on the cross country course. McClintock is a two time NCAA cross country All American with 37th and 19th place finishes in the 2013 and 2014 championships to his name. In the spring of 2015 Matt won the Big 10 title at 5,000m and added a seventh place finish in the 2015 NCAA outdoor 10k championship to his inventory of All American honors. In the fall of his senior year Matt won the Big 10 Cross Country Title where he set an all-time Big 10 record covering the 8k course in 23:12.
Matt is excited to expand his cross country career to the professional level and eventually move up to the marathon. Some of his hobbies include chainsaw juggling and playing Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain in Civil War reenactments.

 

Brandon Doughty Oklahoma

Brandon Doughty hails from Charlestown, West Virginia and was a Sooner at Oklahoma University. He has a strong steeplechase pedigree having earned All American honors in the event twice, including his fourth place performance in the 2015 NCAA Championship steeplechase event in which he ran a personal best 8:38.35. Doughty owns three individual Big Twelve titles in the steeplechase and indoor 3000m and has run 13:39.06 for 5000m. It’s no coincidence that Doughty means “brave and persistent”. Don’t ever Dought him.
