On ZAP Endurance’s Tristin Van Ord has joined the women’s 5,000m field for the Camel City Elite Invitational this Friday evening, February 19th. The Camel City Invite will take place at the JDL fast track, an indoor 200m flat track in Winston-Salem, NC. For Van Ord it will be her first indoor track race since 2017 when she competed for Appalachian State. The race is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm eastern and will be streamed live on RunnerSpace (subscription required). Live results can be found here.
Van Ord ran a personal best over 5,000m of 16:14 at the Music City Distance Carnival last August in Nashville, TN. She is currently preparing for the US 15k Championships at the Gate River Run in Jacksonville on March 20th. This 5,000m race will be her first race back since the Mortgage Network Half Marathon at the beginning of December.
Next weekend on Friday, February 26th, Joe Stilin and Matt McClintock will be headed to Austin, TX for the Texas Qualifier where Joe will race 10,000m and Matt will race 5,000m.
